WC Blue Death-Feigning Beetle

A species of darkling beetle native to southwestern United States. Requires a dry, sandy habitat with hides. They will consume dead insects, fruits and veg. Powder blue hue is due a wax coating on the body that prevents moisture loss. High humidity darkens the colour.
